About the role

Stax are partnering with one of the most exciting and fastest growing blockchain gaming companies in the UK. We’re hiring for a Head of/Lead Blockchain Engineering to join this gaming company.

The ideal candidate will lead the development team in designing, developing, and deploying web3 solutions, as well as creating technical architectures and designs for decentralised applications (dApps) and web3 solutions. Additionally, you will work with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to drive product development, stay up-to-date with the latest web3 advancements, ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of the AWS infrastructure and web3 applications, manage and train a team of developers, and promote a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation throughout the organisation.

The role

• Lead a growing team of blockchain engineers with development, design and deployment of web3 solutions
• Architecture and implementation of best practices for Engineering team and deployment
• Work with other divisions – product managers, designers, and other stakeholders
• Training, overseeing hiring and management and career development of Engineering team
• Be a driver of culture for collaboration, and innovation

Required experience:

• Software Engineering – 8+ years
• Blockchain engineering/web3 – ideally 2 years
• Working experience ideally with – Etherium, web3, NFTs, IMX (ImmutableX)
• AWS, CloudFront, TypeScript, React.JS
• Knowledge of web3 products – Hardhat, forge, wagmi
